<<This works fine if no fields at the front of the record changes. But if <<they do? And if I remember corectly, the only thing at the end of the <<record is the data from your record. Bob, I think using the *MAP *DROP options of the copy file (like Peter suggests) should take care of this problem. Ultimately, I will replace the whole thing with the API processing but in the near term, I think just changing to a copy file should do the trick.
