This works fine if no fields at the front of the record changes. But if they do? And if I remember corectly, the only thing at the end of the record is the data from your record. So while you wont level check, you'll probably get decimal data errors (if you are lucky) or worse. If this is for in-house use, I'd just recompile. If you have an OSCHANGES program (with all your changes to print files, etc.), you could put it right in that and you wouldnt have to worry about it. If you are an ISV, then you should probably switch to the API's sooner rather than later.
