Leif,
Thanks. System serial number starts with a 78- as the machine, before a
few MES upgrades, was a 9404 for the Canadian market, which used to be
produced in Mexico. It's presently a model 600 from Rochester, but the
old serial # was maintained. The software serial # starts with 53- but
I'm not sure if that's what they're asking for. It sounded to me like
they wanted a serial # for particular products (5769-PW1 & RG1) and I
would presume this is the OS/400 software serial # ?

Scan string x'E294D384'
shows your system serial number and 5 lines further down
your software serial number.
If your system is manufactured in Rochester, both will start with
'10-'. The software serial number contains 7 more digits.
