  • Subject: Don't have option to install SERVER piece of Websphere 3.5
  • From: "Shea, David" <DShea@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I am attempting to install Websphere 3.5. When I install it, it appears
that I can only get the BASE code installed. When I install from STRQSH,
the SETUP process installs the BASE stuff but not the SERVER stuff.

When I attempt to install from a PC, the window appears that is supposed to
let me choose whether to install the BASE stuff and/or the SERVER stuff.
The only check box that appears is for the BASE stuff.

My hardware is a little light for the task (170-2289, 384MB memory and the
minimum is supposed to be 170-2292/512MB) but I do have all the required
software components. I have applied all the PTFs and group PTFs that were
recommended.

Why the heck can't I install the SERVER stuff?

Thanks.
