This is nice. And, it's running on an as/400. -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Pat Barber Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2001 4:22 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Surely OS/400 can host e-mail, can't it? I tend to agree that this sort of thing gets really left out of the "normal" manuals, but a lot of the newer manuals are badly written by folks who don't have a clue about the subject matter. This is in my opinion is one of the major failing points in the 400,iseries,whatever series..... The simple "CENSORED" instructions works the very best, and for the life of me, I don't understand why more folks don't bitch bitterly about this. TCP/IP continues to be a major topic of conversation in some many threads both here and at other sites. http://www.easy400.ibm.it/tcpcfgs is the way to handle these more complex issues, and there should be another site dedicated to "How to hook up my XXXXXXXX ascii printer using a TCP/IP connection. (This is handled at a IBM web site that nobody can find) All of these "new" tools: Web,email,VPN,frame relay,tcp/ip, etc should all have a page very similar to http://www.easy400.ibm.it/tcpcfgs and you are welcome. (I'll retreat back into my cave for now) > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
