You mention audible alarms - it could be good old stiction problem.
Disconnect drives and give them good shaking - shaking - not beating!
I did not hear about this problem for quite a while, but if system was down
for a year ...

thanks for the responses.

I have taken off the side panel and looked at cable connections. all look
ok. I gave them all a push just for good luck.

I reboot and get the same result. 3 audible alarms, then the B101 4507
error code.

I am searching ibm online manuals for the part nbrs of the tape and cd
without much success. The service manual I have for the 150 says the
qic-2gb tape is part nbr 16G8571. I see no mention of the cd rom part nbr.
I search ibm books for the part nbr and get no hits.

anyone know the part nbr/ feature code of the cd rom and qic-2gb tape on a
9401 model 150, twinax entry?

Anyone know a good source for parts? I search on ebay, but you have to be
lucky to find something like this there. and I think I have run out of
luck for the week already.

thanks for the help,
steve
