If memory serves correctly,
(1)
used to be that a savstg had to go back to the machine it came from.
If I am incorrect on that,
it at least had to go back to a machine of the same hardware configuration.
(2)
you cannot do a partial restore (eg, one file or library),
it is all or nothing..
And, realistically, how often do you restore the entire machine  VS  a 
partial restore..
