Isn't "8" a ribbon jam? -----Original Message----- From: L. S. Russell [mailto:leslier@datrek.com] Sent: Friday, March 30, 2001 9:07 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Printer troubles. Don't laugh, but I have an IBM 5224 model 2 that is giving me fits. We only use it once a year and don't have any documentation. Here is the problem: when I send a spool file to the attached outq it will allow me to align TOF and then it will print one line before stopping with a code of 8. The message on the 400 is no help at all, it just says press Stop/Start... which cause it to print another line and then stop again with the same code. If I knew what this code meant I might be able to fix the problem. Does anyone know anything about these printers? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
