Not that the academy awards are over ...

I used to use a status message to display progress like OPNQRYF does. 
It's nice to let someone know that the program is making progress.

The burning question always was "How much longer is this going to take?"

If you point your favorite tn5250 client to 63.167.147.10 (Netshare400)
and log on as wyatterp you will see a pop-up window that displays
progress -and- estimated remaining time.

The progress bar is viewable from a distance so one does not have to
walk back to the terminal and I have found that after about 5% progress
(once caching kicks in) the estimated remaining time is fairly accurate
so one could gauge what other task they can be doing in the mean time.

The source code is also at that site in files QPGMSRC and start with
PBAR (Progress BAR).
