Try msgid CPF9898, it's a message that accepts your text as it's
parameter data.

We use the following CL program (SNDSTSMSG):

              SNDPGMMSG  MSGID(CPF9898) MSGF(QCPFMSG) MSGDTA(&MSGDTA) +

              MONMSG     MSGID(CPF0000)                                  
                                                                         
              ENDPGM     /* End of program specifications             */

This is used by calling command SNDSTSMSG:
