hardware display shown and there was no  f/c  for a 
raid  controller shown - thus  DASD  of  base 170
attachments  f/c , which  does restrict   one to
4  drives too.

Your best bet is to check with IBM if your controller supports RAID else backup your system power it off and on in manual state and try to engage RAID protection assuming you have ample disk space available for the process .
 
The machine want let you engage RAID if the card does not support it but check with IBM first .
