Apart from adding the 7101 or 7102 expansion unit, you need only add
disks.
Your present RAID-5 controller is either a:
2740 Max 10 disks Max 2 RAID arrays
2726, 2741, 2748 Max 15 disks Max 3 RAID arrays

Subject: Hardware requirements for Raid setup

Hi all,
I need to set up Raid-5 on my 170. I'm about to add a 7101 expansion unit
to expand past the 4x8G drives I currently have.

Can I set up Raid with my existing hardware, or do I need a "Raid
Controller"? And if so, what do I look for to see if I've got it and/or
what do I ask for when ordering the hardware?

I thought all that was part of the system?

Thanks for the help.
