No - RAID 5 is not supported by the base MFIOP.  You need one of the 
features specified. Which one depends on how much cache you want and 
whether you require hardware compression for your disk - and how much you 
want to spend !  :-)

Thanks for the reply, Neil...but I don't have any of the features you
specified...

This is a chopped-down copy of my rack config...am I missing something? As
I said, I thought that Raid5 capability was just sort of built-in, now my
hardware supplier tells me that I need a rather expensive raid
controller...same feature numbers you specified...
