You needed to mention if this was a CISC or a RISC 400. And, what your current % was so that we could determine if this was a problem. Our experience is that this was only a concern on CISC machines. It has never been a problem on any of our RISC machines. We cut our downtimes in half with going to RISC just because of this issue on one of our 400's. Before we had to ipl every 4 weeks or death occurred. Now we just do our standard every 8 weeks complete save, reclaims, ptf's, upgrades and whatnot. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! IPL'ing used to bring down the '% temp addresses' value which shows in the top left area of the DSPSYSVAL screen. But the last several such IPL's have not even touched it. Is there a why to this? Will it take running RCLSTG take care of it, something we need to do anyway. But it seems to me that shouldn't be necessary... - Alan Cassidy +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
