You're absolutely correct, the S/38 used F1 to exit, the AS/400 uses F3
to exit, the S/36 used F7 to exit ... so what's the math? (400 * 3) -
(38 *1) / (36 + 7) + (SQRT(MSFT stock value) * *date)) = <8-p.  Now the
AS/400 and PC shortcuts and mainframes use F3 to exit.  SAA achieved
it's purpose: uniformity.  Rock on old dude!

Maybe one day a PC will include a "help" key. Why F1? AFAIK 3270 devices
used F1 because they were keyboard challenged.  Oh, I just had a
thought: PC's and mainframes have something in common and us poor middle
children (the forgotten ones) are genetically defect because we have an
extra key.  Ya, that's it. ;-)
