There are a multitude of other ways to do the web deployment, this is just

I am looking to write Web apps for the As/400.  I want to have real time
access to the AS/400 data base.  Is anyone doing this? What are the
pitfalls?  Can you get good response time with this method?  Is there a
better,best Web tool out there that makes this easier?
