Stan

Here's what I got back from a Developer in Rochester.

John,

Thanks for passing this along. Please post an append to the forum to try
the following and let me know. I tried it and it works fine. There is an
example in the Run SQL Scripts examples that shows using a CL command with
*ALL for the file names. The parens breaks up the /* so that it is not
interpreted as a comment.

cl:DSPFD FILE(BNDTALB/(*ALL)) TYPE(*ATR) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) FILEATR(*PF)
OUTFILE(QTEMP/QAFDPHY) OUTMBR(XAJRNALLPF);

Regards,

Jim.

Is it possible from within Operations Navigator's Run SQL Scripts to run a
CL CMD that contains a '/*' in the command string? I'm finding that it
interprets the '/*' as the start of a comment and ignores the remainder of
the command. The actual command I'm trying to run is below.

cl: 'DSPFD FILE(BNDTALB/*ALL) TYPE(*ATR) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) FILEATR(*PF)
OUTFILE(QTEMP/QAFDPHY) OUTMBR(XAJRNALLPF)';
select phjrnm, count(*) from qtemp.qafdphy group by phjrnm;

Regards,
Stan
