OK, I misunderstood before.

I think you might have to look at your open options.  For example, you
can't open a remote queue for reading, only for writing, so you may
inadvertantly be doing that.  We had exactly that problem here at one
time, but I can't remember whether we got reason code 2045 then, or
something else.

Yes, the process on the PC side should be an exact mirror-image of that
on the AS/400.
