Thanks, Jim.  Again, I've got a brand new 270 coming in next week (HURRAY!),
and perhaps that will help.  The fact that this machine is nearly a year
behind on PTFs probably doesn't help (it's a loaner machine, and I've been a
little shy about slamming alot of stuff onto it).
