Thanks Neil and Patrick, I found the problem. It's the 7852 needing a firmware upgrade. It has a problem handling the 7857's 19.2 connection. I took my IBM OPTIONS modem (7852) to my client and it hooked up with the other 7852 on the first try. Anyone wanting the firmware upgrade can go to http://www-1.ibm.com/servlet/support/manager?rt=0&rs=0&org=psg&doc=E213A016FECADEB28525666A004E5484 --------------------------------- Kirk Goins IBM Certified AS/400 Technical Solutions DataMirror High Availability Certified Pacific Information Systems - An IBM Premier Business Partner 503-674-2985 kirkg@pacinfosys.com "WE KNOW TECHNOLOGY" --------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
