I believe you will find that the AS/400 (even at your release) will have the same/more ease of use as the wang. I believe in a short time you will see that OS/400 was/is the pinnacle of character based operations. The Command set (which is what actually gets done via a menu option) is a very consistently laid out methodology. The format of Verb/Noun or Verb / Adjective / Noun is very nice. WRK work with something DSP display something DLT delete something CRT create something F File PF Physical file PGM program JOBQ Job queue OUTQ Output queue You can find them all by GO CMDxxx where xxx = DSP or WRK or PGM or OUTQ or or or You will find that it is actually easy to create your own commands.
