IP Address Capture

Does the anyone know of an API or other way to trap the IP address of a
display when it is singing on.  I have several plants each with a IP
address range on their Network.  If I can identify the address when a
device signs on I can know and track when each Plant is on the system.
I know it is another Big Brother is watching process but the higher up's
want this info.  They want to a report of each signon and the IP address
they used.
