Ah, yes, that would happen, wouldn't it?  Since I'm partial to
right-adjusting numeric fields, I hadn't run into that particular side
effect.  Definitely something to be cautious about.

Ugly?  Heck, this is a thing of beauty, Dave!  Thanks for sharing that!

Found one idiosyncrasy, though.  The field has to have mandatory field exit
enabled, otherwise you risk clearing the field after the one you use this
technique on when you key in a value where the minus sign is in the last
position of the entry field.

I don't have a solution, but I do have a work-around for emulators that
allow defining macros and mapping them to keys.  Create a macro that
consists of the dash and Field +, then map it to the Field - key.  Works
great for me, even if it is ugly.
