John,

Best advise is to get a service call in and let the CE take a look.  A
component in one of the disk units or the IOP may need to be replaced.  Get
it dealt with while  you still have options available.

Are there any entries in the Product Activity Log (use STRSST to see PAL
entries) for magnetic media?  That is one of the first places the CE will
go.
