Loyd:
You need a '&' ahead of the variable for it to work. Here a snippet from one
of my UIM Menus:
:LISTACT OPTION=4
ENTER='CMD dltsplf file(&spfile.)'
ENTER=' job(&spjnbr./&spuser./&spjnam.)'
ENTER=' splnbr(&spfnbr.)'
I hope this helps.

Subject: Panel group menu
When creating UIM menus, I define a variable zuser to
retrieve the current
user name.
:var name=zuser.
In the action line of the menu item, I want to pass that
user name to the
called program. I currently have
:menui option=1
help=nohelp
action='CMD call pgm(psn9001) parm(zuser)'
.Birthday list (PSN9001)
However, this passes the actual literal "ZUSER" into the
program. Is there a
way to pass the user name specified in ZUSER?
Thanks,
Loyd
