jt -- No surprise. It is my opinion that OS/400 is a stone cold LOCK when it comes to security. -- Don Schenck Schenck Technical Consulting DonS@SchenckTech.com / www.SchenckTech.com -----Original Message----- From: jt [mailto:jt@ee.net] Sent: January 12, 2001 3:04 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Webservers - IIS, etc. David, From what little I know, Apache on iSeries is much stronger than Apache on unix. (It is available now as a PTF for V4R5.) It's based on Apache version 2.0 where almost all others are based on version 1.3.x. The security will be stronger since it's being integrated with OS/400, not just ported over. There are other enhancements listed in the "Functional Overview" section of <http://www.iseries.ibm.com/products/http/services/Apache.htm> http://www.iseries.ibm.com/products/http/services/Apache.htm . +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
