I have 3 Data libraries with all the data objects, not all the data that is in live though. One for programming test, one for user scenerio test and one with live data. To make it all fit, when I refresh the data, I have a cl that changes all logicals to *rebld in the test library, also one to start and end journaling. A cl that controls what data I copy, I only restore the PF's I want and leave the rest empty. The program that starts the menu for the user looks at a special file to create the library list as they signon, so I hardly ever have the need for duplicate program objects. >Can I RESTORE to Some OTHER LIBRARY from our SAVE 21 Selected Physical Files, all their Members, all their Logicals Naming only the Physical & some *ALL to get all Members & Logicals or do I have to name all the pieces in the right sequence? Depending on you AS/400 version, I think at least after V3R7 the logical file pointing to the Physical works just fine! Use...
