Well, here it is Monday morning at 10:12, which means my ApplY PTF Process has been running for 19+ hours. Ken, I looked through the ptf documentation & the BRMS ptf you mention is part of the ptf's being loaded. I do not use BRMS but it somehow was loaded on my test machine & hence the ptf is trying to get loaded. I found a few other products that are not used & I just never bothered to uninstall them. Now I wish I would have taken the time. We don't have IBM support that is 24 x 7 so I will have to wait until tomorrow to give IBM a call to get my mess fixed up. My guess is a holiday call would be a higher charge for help vs. a non prime time call. The difference for us was over $4,000.00 a year & I really could not justify the expense for a test machine. The 720 is my test machine that had v4r5m0 installed about two weeks ago. The cum ptf cd that came with the v4r5m0 upgrade from IBM gave me a few problems so I ordered a new one & all the latest group (SF99096, SF99105, SF99068, SF99037, SF64217, SF64050) ptf's which is what I was trying to apply yesterday. What a way to spend a holiday. Good thing I've got nothing major planned at home. It seems I might be here a while fixing my problem(s). Any other words of wisdom from people? I am listening & appreciate any words of help. I do have my pager on so 888-994-1549 if you are so inclined. The cum went on first with it's separate IPL & now all the "other" ptf's are being applied. When the instructions say "During the IPL, C9002967 could be displayed for an extended amount of time. This is normal (assuming the processor light flashes periodically)." , the instructions are not kidding. I know I have never waited this long (158.6 minutes & counting) & yes, the processor light is flashing periodically. The IPL step is displaying "PTF apply". Is there a manual that tells me what the panel codes mean? I do not think the reference code detail (C900 2967 20 51 0060) has changed since this step has started & is this okay? It's 5:35 & I said I would only "be a while". That "be a while" has now turned into almost 3 hours & I need to get out of here. Dennis Munro "I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by."
