That shop standard should be discussed, I'd think. HANS, sure would be nice if DSPF members could have an H-Specs entry to control such things at compile-time, like RPGIV does. But, my guess is it's an overlay thing. I'd play with the overlay on both the CTL rec and the display you're displaying the subfile onto as well as on the CMDKEY record, if you're using one, and on the msgctl record, again, if you're using it, check the SFLDSP and SFLDSPCTL indicators. Sometimes, I just try to get too efficient and display the CMDline before entering the "DoW not done" loop...when this bites me, I just un-efficient a little and write msgctl, write xxxcmd, exfmt xxxctl records at the top of the DO loop. Oh, yeah, make sure the records are not overlapping on the attribute byte. Same kind of thing pops up on me about every couple months or so...almost all of the coding I do is wrapped around a subfile of some kind. It's almost always one of the above things. corbett@asresources.com http://www.cbt400.com http://www.asresources.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
