Hi, I have a file with several date fields which I am concatenating into one long CSV flat file. In my file, the date fields are defined with DATFMT(*USA). I use the %Char BIF to change them into character strings for concatenation. The RPGIV/ILE Manual says: "For date, time, or timestamp data, the returned value includes any separator characters. The format and separators of the result are the same as that of the parameter." As I understand the above, I should get a character representation of the date in USA format. However, I am getting ISO format. My File CSV 12/01/1999 1999-12-01 Any ideas what I might be doing wrong ?
