  • Subject: "assume" keyword not the answer to disappearing background

I have a program that displays a full-screen subfile with an Option field
in front of each line. The user can put a choice on the option line and
the program will read down through the page performing the actions
requested. One of the actions calls a program that may pop out a window
with information for the user. This has all worked right up until Friday.
On Friday I made a small change that required recompiling both programs
and their DDS. Now, the first time the window pops up the background
stays, but number 2 and after, the screen is black except the window. Any
suggestions as to what I used to know, but have forgotten?
