To be honest I don't remember which library it was (have slept since then!),
but I think it was something to do with 'help'. Didn't seem to be associated
with CHR() at all.

It showed up in Project References so if that's OK on your box then it's
probably not the solution.

Thanks Gary. Sounds like a possibility. How did you find which object
library was missing? When I look at Project References, all seems fine. Same
for Project Components.
