Gary,

I know this sounds crazy, but you can try the following:

Start the WSG sever (WorkStation Gateway) on your 400, then on your client PC
go to your favorite browser and type: http://192.168.1.1:5061/wsg and that
will open a session.... hence you can check the connection...
