Check out John Taschek article on Computer Infrastructure page 85 of Oct 30, 2000 e Week Magazine whose headline is "ORACLE, TRASHTALKING IBM, DISSES DB2." Apparently IBM released a world-record, single-system TPC benchmark score & Oracle is crowing that IBM used Oracle rather than DB2 UDB to accomplish this. The article is not explicit enough to say whether this was done on which series of the e-server or even some IBM platform other than e-servers, but at least this gives you a clue to pursue ... where are IBM benchmarks discussed & drill down to TPC benchmarks.
