Patrick - There may be other alternatives. I'm only guessing, but assuming
that you
were serving files from qlansrv/.... Was this FSIOP also your ethernet or
token
ring connection for the network? If you had a seperate ethernet/tr, and that
is
running, serve the files with As400 Netserver (which should already be
running
but perhaps not configured). The data should still be in an ifs directory,
and your pc
clients could access their files. The config is like "NT" if your pc
comfortable, or
like me, it took a while. The redbook AS400 Netserver explains it all. Don't
know if you
have 10 or 1000 clients. There were very recent posts on Netserver.
If you have no other ethernet/tr have you checked w/support if 2850 can be
config'd as
an the ethernet/tr ioa?
Unfortunately half this list is probably at Common this afternoon.
I don't know all of this, but let me know if what I said doesn't make sense.
