Debbie,

  FDDI is essentially Token ring on Fiber at 100Mb. It, like Token-ring,
when properly wired includes the ability to self repair a single cable
cut by wrapping at the point where the break occurs. (Two breaks is
fatal.)  Unlike Token-ring where (at least in most implementations)
there is no notification of this condition, FDDI includes notification.
You will notice that each FDDI card has two connections. You can pull
one of them without breaking the ring. What these message indicate is
that either an adaptor is failing or a fiber cable is loose or failing. 
 Locate the device with the MAC addresses in question and verify the
connections (Both ends of course) and that the ports on the FDDI hub are
good. You may want to replace the fiber cables if convenint. If this is
the AS/400's adaptor you may want to run Wrap tests on it.
