Hi John, The HP 4000 printer has an unprintable margin at both the top and bottom of the page. The phenomenon you describe (blank page) can occur when the printer believes that some portion of the last line of text has entered its unprintable margin. Since you know your page is always going to be 64 lines long, you have the option to disable a printer feature called Perforation Skip. This feature, which is always enabled by default, insures that applications created for printers that can print edge to edge don't cause the printer to lose data by allowing printable data to enter the unprintable margin area. When you disable Perforation Skip, you get maximum page coverage from the printer. The downside is that any data which cannot be printed (due to the unprintable margins) will be lost once the Perforation Skip feature is disabled. Disabling the Perforation Skip in your case will probably allow the 64th line to fit correctly on the page. The HP PCL command to disable perforation skip is 1B 26 6C 30 4C and this command needs to be inserted in the Initialization Sequence parameter of a WSCST that you will need to create. The report is 84 columns wide and 64 lines long. It fits on one sheet of paper nicely but the printer always ejects a second piece of paper which is blank. If I send this report to a different laser printer (AFP) this does not happen. I assume I need to change something in the WSCST I am using but I don't know what. TIA.
