As i recall, there were lots of tests possible, but the problem was with the grading of the answers. Many different answers possible to any good question, so you cannot give the test to some clerk in HR who knows nothing of the subject to score the answers. In essence what you are doing is like a remote e-mail interview. You do not save any time for the corporate staff & you do not save any time for the prospect, if you use it right. But there is grave risk that management that does not understand the subject will misuse some test & end up getting unqualified hires & lose out on the best people for the job. The state of art does not support a prospect going to some web site & there being questions in which artificial intelligence evaluates the answers then tells management to look at this candidate.
