That reminds me of something else irritating, maybe it's something in my
email reader (Netscape 4.75).

About 30% or so of the messages in these mailing lists are not readable
directly.  Instead there is a little box with a hyperlink in it that
will say something like "Part 1.1.1".  I must click on this hyperlink
and then the message opens up in another window, a browser window like
you're on the www.  Why is that?  Do I have something set up wrong in my
email?  Are these messages that were sent as HTML?  (They don't look
like it in that separate window.)

But it is irritating.
