We are on JDE World 7.3 (not OneWorld, thank God) and I didn't read the original thread on this but I assume you are talking about the user profile special authority?? We have a large majority of our users set to *NONE and only grant a few people things like *SPLCTL or *JOBCTL. Haven't had any problems that I know of?? I have a vague remembrance that we had it set to *ALLOBJ in "older" versions, like 5.2, but I can't remember if it was because we HAD TO or if we didn't know any better. As of 7.3, we changed everyone to *NONE. -----Original Message----- From: Ray Regalado [mailto:rayreg@mail.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 13, 2000 9:14 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Why do software companies always want ALLOBJ I just finished talking to JDE about that same topic. How does everyone else deal with this situation? ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
