I'm just a programmer and apparently I need some system help. When I connect to one of our /400's from home I use CA (now CAE) from Win98 through a RAS server using normal Win DUN (1.2 IIRC) with a Courier 56k v.Everything modem and connect at about 35k. If I leave a 5250 session alone for 2 minutes the job on the /400 goes to DSC status, logs a CPF5140 in the joblog, and eventually dies. The session I am still furiously pgming in continues to work and the session(s) that get Disconnected look fine until they get used again, at which time they eventually go blank and disconnect and upon subsequent connect will occasionally get the recover session dialog. This is happening with CAE from v4r5 into /400's on v4r5, but it happened with CAE on v4r4 and PCOM 4.2 to v4r4 as well. I don't recall this problem occurring on v4r3, nor with OS/2 v4 and the PCOM 4.2 client. I've tried: CHGJOB DEVRCYACN(*MSG) for the jobs (was *DSCMSG) and changing sysval QDSCJOBITV from 5 minutes to 600 minutes With no apparent difference. My systems folks have no ideas. Does anybody on the list have any suggestions?
