Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated. I've come to the conclusion that XML and the browser interface is the way to go. There are certainly differing opinions, but I've been working with it for about a month now, and it's really pretty slick. I'm using AVR based ADO modules connected to RPG server programs via ASNA's Datagate. No live operations experience yet, but it looks very promising. Very simple to implement. The client side validation and user interface is controlled with javascript which allows you to tap into all of the DHTML capability of IE as well as the rather nifty XML parser. User sequencing and filtering operations happen without a return trip to the server. There are other browsers, but fortunately for me, I don't need to contend with them, since it's all on the company intranet, all IE5+, and all using W3C published standard interfaces. Did I mention it's a lot of fun?
