There are some shareware & freeware utilities available by Bruce Guthrie
at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/2414
I have used these for years (convert.exe) that will convert
FROM dBase, ASCII-delimited and fixed field
TO Lotus WKS, ASCII-delimited, dBase, and fixed field.
These were written for US Dept of Commerce and I have
never seen it fail. AND "real" error messages for invalid
requests !!!
I use them in batch files on pc, along with ftp or Client Access
to upload/download. The cmd is easy from .dbf. comma delim
CONVERT abc.dbf abcd.csv /from ascii /to dbf /delims=",,,
Also using CPYFRMIMPF to takethe converted comma delimited
file to a native 400 file.I'm amazed at the number of dBase systems still
alive
(DOS did always run better than Windoze).
