Use query or SQL over the correct member in the QAPMJOBS file. This SQL
counts the number of connected jobs and adds up their CPU milliseconds
during each interval then displays the list is descending sequence by number
of jobs per interval regardless of CPU seconds:

select intnum, count(*),sum(jbcpu) from qapmjobs where jbtype = 'I' group by
intnum order by 2 desc

I think that tn5250 jobs are considered type 'interactive', does anybody
know if that is wrong? You could also determine the total number of jobs
started per day using select distinct count(*).

Is it enough to know how many jobs or do you need to know if they were doing
anything during the measurement period?

You can also use job accounting and several other techniques for this kind
of function.

Subject: System Status / performance tools

Hi All,
I was just wondering is there a way to figure out what peak usages I get on
the As/400 for interactive users
if I could run this once or twice a day it would give me an idea of how may
interactive sessions log on to the box daily/ weekly / monthly
Our system is ethernet based and everybody comes in over TCP/IP (telnet) ,
we don't use Client Access
We have all users running under one subsystem
is there a performance tool to do this or a file I can query in the QPFRDATA
library
We have Performance monitoring running all day, everyday
