I am also very interested in this topic.  It seems like we've covered this 
ground before but I couldn't find it in the
archives.

What I would like to do is run a job stream on the AS/400 that creates the 
files (I already have this), then
automatically download those files into EXCEL format. I have been using the 
Client Access Data Transfer function but
would like to avoid the manual effort involved.  Perhaps the function exists in 
Ops Navigator?  I am going to see if I
can create a batch file to download all of the files from a desktop icon next, 
that would be closer than what I have
now.  I looked at CPYTOPCD but it didn't seem to provide for inputting straight 
into EXCEL format.  My users are also
challenged by the download/import process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
