I need to FTP an AS/400 database file to a PC at an outside firm and I would like this process to be automated - no manual steps involved. My problem is not the FTP - that I can do easily - my problem is in the format. Naturally the AS/400 file has packed numeric fields. Since the file is destined for use on a PC, we need to send the file in a CSV (comma separated) format. I thought about using the CPYTOSTMF command to get the file to the IFS and then to FTP the file from the IFS. But I don't see an option on the CPYTOSTMF to convert the file to CSV on the way. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks, Bill William K.
