John,

I am trying to play some old DOS games, (that worked on Win 3.1), on Win 98 &
various friends are telling me to give it up, that circumvention of upwards
compatibility is impractical, that I will enjoy life more if I abandon games
I have loved & just learn the new games that work on the new OS.

Well I am able to squeeze out 75%+ of the game value, then when I EXIT from
DOS back to Windoze & get a totally blank screen (it is not refreshing the
GUI) or an almost totally blank (little pieces appear), I grope in the lower
left corner click click cliicking in the dark with my mouse until I connect
with the invisible START button & get a reboot between applications.
