Don't forget that many people disable cookies, so you need some
alternative if cookies don't work.  (And then there are those of
us who enable cookies, but soft-link cookies.txt to /dev/nul!)

Best to use some other mechanism, such as adding a hidden field
to your forms with a session id number, or by adding a session
id to your URL's.
