Long backup time after IPL -- MIDRANGE-L

Hello,

I'm new to this list, so please excuse me for any formal errors..

We have noted that one of our nightly backup jobs takes a lot longer on
monday nights (up to 3.5 hours instead of 2). 
We do run a weekly IPL on sunday (w/o RCLSTG) and this seems to be the cause
- without IPL the monday backup
runs normally.

Is there anything we can do about this?
