Hey. This could be the Al Barsa impersonator. I recall Al saying quite often that he would never buy stock in IBM until they spun off the AS/400 division. See Al's note from the midrange archive-- >It's incredible how IBM works hard to retain fatheads, and then incents smart >people like Jim Sloan, >Wayne Evans, Janet Krueger and David Money to leave. Keep up the good work >IBM, this is why I own your >competitor's stock. If you do own IBM stock, when Lou quits, sell your stock, >and sell it short - as >there will be nothing left of what used to be a wonderful corporation Art "Another Jr. expert in the As/400 field" Tostaine, Jr. CCA, Inc. IBM has two computing product lines that make money (AS/400 and S/390), which that don't hype; and two that bleed money out of the bottom line (Netfinity and RS/6000). So which one do they hype? - See next: >http://yahoo.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-2218995.html Given the fact that IBM has a large presence in Rochester, Minnesota - the home of the Mayo Clinic - maybe we could get a good deal on gift certificates for lobotomies for the braindeal people that make these decisions. As a stockholder, my sentiments are: God forbid that this company should make big bucks. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
